Let's move beyond Good Ideas.

Ideas alone do not expand equality or increase opportunity for all – we need a plan to build the political support to turn ideas into action. In this interactive session, learn how to combine messaging and strategy to move your policies forward. We will address the following questions:

  • How do we convince policy makers to take up our idea?
  • How can policy leaders get their solutions on the agenda?
  • How can we get our allies to help promote our ideas?

We will explore no cost and low cost ways to build awareness of your solutions, activate public support, and build support for your policy ideas.

Wednesday, May 18, 2016's webinar presents detailed polling results that only a few have seen. It’s an analysis by Celinda Lake, one of America’s top pollsters, which shows that if you move away from talking about government as an abstraction and explain how it can enforce fair rules on everyone, Americans will move to your side. With this practical and fairly simple approach, people even favor “regulation” and approve of specific regulatory agencies.

Okay, that’s not exactly the title of this week’s webinar. (No advice on how to pronounce “yuuge.”)

But Bernie Sanders obviously understands how to deliver a forceful and effective economic narrative and this year every progressive leader and activist needs to do the same. But how?

Richard Kirsch of the Roosevelt Institute will explain why we need an economic narrative, why Bernie’s narrative works, and how you too can connect with Americans on their number one issue for 2016.

Richard’s Progressive Economic Narrative (PEN) argues for an America that works for all of us, not just the wealthy. It has been developed by a team of experts over several years. For a one-page preview of the webinar, click here. For more about the PEN, click here.
